What it is

A new recording scenario
Voice recorders, recording pucks and recording cards are all designed for a meeting, an interview, a lecture. You know you are about to record, you take the thing out, you press it. Plenty of companies do that scenario well.
Outdoors.A thought on a walk. The third kilometre of a run, when your head suddenly clears. The commute where you finally solve the thing that has been stuck for three days. None of it happens at a desk.
Fragments.One sentence. Twenty seconds. Occasionally three minutes. Not worth taking out your phone, unlocking it, finding the app and pressing record — by the time you finish those four steps the thought has changed shape, or gone.
Something already on your face.The sun comes out and you put sunglasses on. We do not have to talk you into that. We just added one button to the thing you were already wearing.

Two microphones
The main mic sits at the bottom centre of the left rim, port facing down at your mouth. Depending on the size of your face that is 4 to 7 centimetres.
The reference mic sits at the top corner of the right rim, port facing up and tilted back, away from your mouth. About twelve centimetres.
When you speak, your voice reaches the main mic 7 to 9 dB louder than the reference. When someone half a metre away speaks, both microphones are almost the same distance from them, so the difference is under 1 dB. The threshold sits at 4–5 dB. Below it, nothing is written.
That is the whole privacy design. No DSP, no beamforming, no voiceprint, no model, no cost. And no way to switch it off — because it is not a setting, it is where the holes are.
Quiet-Voice Engine
Worn, the main mic is already closer to your lips than any earbud. When the street gets loud, or when you would rather not be heard at all, take the glasses off and hold them up to your mouth. Same microphone, same engine, one gesture.
Geometry beats every noise-cancellation algorithm.
The interaction
Press once.Recording. A short rising tone and a light buzz, and then nothing until you are done.
Press again.Stopped. A falling tone. Or say nothing for thirty seconds and it stops on its own.
No time limit.Talk for ten minutes if you have ten minutes of talking to do. Nothing interrupts you at the two-minute mark.
No seams.Every five minutes the file is sealed and a new one begins, with a one-to-two second overlap so no word falls in the gap. No tone, no buzz, no pause. The software stitches it back together and you never find out it happened.
No power button.There is no on and no off. Press and it wakes; finish and it sleeps. Long-press is only ever used for pairing and factory reset.
No lights.Not one, anywhere on the product.
Two recordings less than sixty seconds apart merge into one note. Anything under two seconds is discarded — that was your pocket.

Recording never touches Bluetooth. The button wakes the chip, audio goes straight to local storage, and the radio only wakes up afterwards to sync — then disconnects and sleeps. If the sync fails, nothing is lost. The recording was never in the air.
Built for outdoors
Wind screens.A microphone on the underside of a rim faces straight into the wind when you run or ride. Metal mesh and acoustic foam over the port, plus wind suppression in firmware. Without this the product is unusable outdoors, so it is not optional.
Sweat.Sweat runs down your forehead and arrives exactly where the main mic port is. IPX4 minimum, and the port geometry is designed around that specific problem.
Rain and dust.The reference mic points at the sky, so its port is tilted 15–20° back, meshed, and drained inside.
Plosives.The main mic faces down and slightly forward, with a high-pass filter at 100–150 Hz. Breath and pop energy sits almost entirely below that line. Your voice does not.
Colour
Two frames, two tints. Every one of them is pale, and that is the decision — saturated colour is where eyewear starts to look cheap. True blue, true green, true yellow, bright white: all of them are one bad light away from reading as plastic. Pale colours are not.
Space Gray.It reads more expensive than black, which is the whole reason to use it. It is also the colour most people already chose for the phone and the laptop in front of them, so it argues with nothing else you own.
Light Pink.Not a women's colourway. The fashion creators we interviewed were unanimous in the other direction: a man in pink glasses reads young and current, and the word that kept coming back was clean. Warm rather than loud.
Light Red Gold.A very light warm tint. In testing it makes the whites of your eyes read whiter and the gaze clearer — and not to you in a mirror. To the person looking at you.
Light Gray.The safe one, and there is nothing wrong with that. Neutral, unisex, goes with everything, never the loudest thing in the photograph.

Not to you in a mirror — to the person looking at you. A lens colour that changes how your eyes read to other people is doing more than one that only looks good on a shelf.
Why the lenses are pale
Sunglasses have one job and one setting. These have a headset in them, so the usage pattern is different in two specific ways, and both of them push the tint lighter.
Indoors.Sunglasses come off when you walk inside. These cannot — you might be mid-call or mid-podcast, and pulling them off ends it. So the lens has to be liveable under a ceiling light, which a dark lens is not.
Outdoors.You still have to look at your phone. A dark lens sends the glasses up onto your forehead every time; a pale one shades your eyes and leaves the screen readable. In strong sun you stop noticing the tint is there at all.
Photochromic.The complete answer to the doorway: clear inside, sunglasses outside, no gesture required. Twenty dollars more, in either tint.
Not gradient.We asked. The fashion creators were blunt — a gradient lens reads middle-aged. Photochromic is the version of the same idea that does not, because it is not a permanent gradient. It is a clear lens until it is not.

Frame
TR90.The nylon that high-end American outdoor eyewear is built from. Very light, very resilient, and it flexes back instead of taking a set. Not the cheap plastic the word "nylon" suggests.
Not titanium.There is a microphone inside the front frame and electronics down both temples. A metal frame with wiring threaded through it is a harder problem for no gain we could find.
Not a sports wrap.Traditional outdoor frames are thick, wide and heavy, and a wide frame forces a wide lens — which is where the weight actually accumulates. We used the proportions of an ordinary indoor frame instead. Smaller rim, smaller lens, weight saved at the source.
The result.In the same class as the titanium frames that are marketed as the lightest available. And past a point the argument stops being interesting: once a pair is already light, five grams is not what decides whether you can wear it for four hours.

You assumed it was the late nights. You assumed you had not slept enough. In fact you may already be slightly long-sighted.
For some people it starts at thirty-eight, for others forty-five, for others fifty. The awkward part is this: if you need a correction in your thirties or just past forty, you would rather nobody read your glasses as reading glasses.
But you are wearing a pair of AI glasses. That changes the reading entirely.
Get tested at an optician — that is the accurate route. Or, more simply, try the ready-made ones in a shop: whichever feels comfortable is the one for you. Hyperopic powers change slowly and vary little between people, which is very unlike myopia.
The real problem is that if you never wear a correction, you never notice. Small text becoming unreadable does not arrive as the thought "I should get glasses". It seeps into your work, your reading and your evenings: the menu read twice, the instructions skipped, the phone font pushed larger and larger, reading at night getting steadily more tiring.
You can have progressives: distance power (or plain) on top, near power at the bottom. One pair, two jobs.
But some people never get on with progressives — the edges swim, and stairs need a chin adjustment. So we offer the other route: two separate pairs. You were buying two anyway.
Think of us as an optical shop. A professional, young, fashionable one that happened to put a recording button on the temple.
Lenses
Polarised lenses darken phone screens, sometimes to black. This is a product you look at your phone with — to sync, to read the transcript, to search it. So the tints are UV400, not polarised, and they cost half as much to make.
A dark lens without UV400 is worse than no lens at all: the darkness opens your pupil and lets more ultraviolet in. Every Razzhood lens is UV400, in both tints, at every price.
The other half

The software
Nothing computes on the glasses. There is no model on the device, no processor deciding what matters, and no assistant with a name — the glasses write audio to their own storage and nothing else. Which means they need this software: a recording nobody can search is a filing cabinet with no labels.
What it does.Pulls recordings off the glasses, stitches the five-minute segments back into single notes, transcribes them, and lets you search the result. That is the whole product.

Text is text.Once a note is transcribed it goes wherever you send text — notes, documents, chat, an agent. We are not trying to be the destination.

If you would rather not use it, the audio is yours and exportable — run a local model, or push the files into something you already have. Nothing in the hardware requires our software to keep working. It just will not turn speech into text on its own.
The creator programme
There is no early-bird price on this site. The $100 comes from someone who backed the product before it existed, and it lives only on their invite link. The creator takes 30% of what their audience actually pays — $41.40 on a two-pair bundle, so three orders roughly covers their own two pairs.
There are leaderboard rewards on top of the commission. The top five in August can invite Elon Musk's father, Errol Musk, to a private dinner of their own arranging; the top hundred across August to October come to the United States in 2027 to watch a rocket launch with him.

Founder & CEO
My father built a chain of shops that rewound burnt-out electric motors. I grew up around copper, machines, and money. Very young, I became a video game merchant, trading weapons and gear across platforms.
I later backed the AI startup behind Lenovo Smart Router as an angel investor. I sold part of my stake to Xunlei and JD.com. That was my first close look at AI reshaping consumer hardware.
Every wearable I was shown after that wanted to be a computer on your face. A screen, a camera, an assistant with a name, a light that tells the room what you are doing. I kept thinking about what I would actually put on my own face outdoors, and the honest answer was: sunglasses. So we started there and added exactly one thing.
Razzhood does not think. It catches what you said and hands it over. Everything else belongs to the phone in your pocket, and to you. I believe that once this becomes a habit it changes how a person works, how they learn, and how much of what they think survives the day — that is why I am building it.
